PM Hun Sen Receives President of Huawei Asia-Pacific

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this morning Mr. Lin Baifeng, Senior Vice President and President of Huawei Asia-Pacific.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, Mr. Lin Baifeng thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his support for Huawei’s operations in Cambodia in the past 23 years and for allowing the company to take part in developing the information and communication technology as well as in combating the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingdom.

Mr. Lin Baifeng lauded the progress of Cambodia’s economic digital and was committed to continue contributing to the country’s ICT development through human resource training, latest technologies introduction, and related infrastructure development for ICT connectivity and people-to-people connectivity with safety and sovereignty.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Huawei for its contribution to the development of Cambodia, especially in the field of ICT.

The Premier encouraged Mr. Lin Baifeng to continue to work with H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, help train Cambodian human resources, bring latest technologies to Cambodia which ensures safety, sovereignty and competitiveness.

On the occasion, Mr. Li Baifeng handed over a donation in 100 Idea Hub (Big screen VC equipment) and 500 Desktop Computers from Huawei Technologies (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. to the Royal Government of Cambodia.
