PM Presides Over Ramadan Iftar Dinner of Cambodian Muslims

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his spouse presided over yesterday evening a Ramadan Iftar Dinner of Cambodian Muslim Community with the participation of some 4,500 Cambodian Muslims and foreign guests.

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed his support to this annual event.

“As the Prime Minister of Cambodia, I always support and promote the rights of the Cambodian Muslims,” said the Cambodian premier, affirming to continue promoting harmonisation in the country.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has so far recruited 1,500 Muslim teachers as civil servants of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

This was the third consecutive year that Samdech Techo Hun Sen hosted the Ramadan Iftar Dinner.

Cambodian Muslims account for some 2 percent of the total population of about 15 million.
