PM Presides Over Youth Programme Award Ceremony

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen presided over yesterday at the Peace Palace the award ceremony for the top ten winners of the youth programme called "I am a Role Model" (Season 6).

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said for the next seasons, more topics such as education and health will be included.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed the government's commitment to continue building more schools and other key physical infrastructure so as to create more opportunities for the people. He also called on his compatriots, especially the youth, to take part in maintaining peace for the prosperity of the Cambodian nation.

The first winner of this Special Season, Ms. Hang Marini, got a motorbike, sportswear, the programme's T. shirt, a certificate and a million Riel (about US$250), while the two runners-up received a laptop and an iPad, respectively and other awards as the first winner.

For the seven other winners, they were awarded each with a million Riel, sportswear, the programme's T. Shirt and a certificate.

"I am a Role Model" is a programme launched in April by Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen to boost youth participation in the country development.

Any youths can participate in the competition by producing short films, poems, paintings, essays, etc. under the theme "I am a Role Model."
