PM Reacts to a Facebook’s Comment

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has firmly reacted to a Facebook comment accusing him of “betraying Vietnam”.

“Why do you say that I am betraying Vietnam? Is Vietnam my father or my king? You have to know that the ones to whom I’m loyal are my Khmer nation, my respected King and my beloved wife. Vietnam is not my boss to whom I must be loyal. If you are a Vietnamese living in Cambodia legally, you have to respect Cambodia’s laws. If you are undocumented, you need to leave Cambodia. If you live in Vietnam, please love Vietnamese leaders,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen in replying to the comment.

“I am a leader of an independent and sovereign state who has to have relations with Vietnamese leaders with equal rights and equity. Please forward this message to the Vietnamese leaders if you’re really a Vietnamese, because I’ve known clearly that the Vietnamese leaders always respect Cambodia’s independence and sovereignty, which is different from the people like you,” he added.

Currently, Vietnam is a good neighbor of Cambodia. Both nations have been enjoying fruitful cooperation in various sectors, including trade, economy, tourism, investment, military, culture, and so on.
