Political Party to Political Party for Interest of Cambodians and Laotians

Ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) have concluded their 13th Summit with renewed commitment to enhance cooperation for the interest of the two peoples and countries.

The result of the Summit was summarised in a press release of the CPP Central Committee AKP received yesterday.

CPP President and Prime Minister of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and General Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and Lao President H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith chaired the 13th CPP-LPRP Summit on Feb. 14 in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

In the meeting, the two sides exchanged key milestones of their respective political parties and reflected regional and global situation focusing on multilateralism in international relations.

They agreed to join hands against any colour revolution or anti-regime protest movements centring around law reinforcement and not to allow any opposition individual, organised activity, or the use of one of the country to oppose another.

The two sides, according to the release, were positive that the result of the Summit will further foster the cooperation between the two parties, governments, parliaments, and local authorities along their shared border; and promote the role of the two neighbours at regional and international arenas.

They reaffirmed mutual trust and cooperation to continue the bilateral relationship that has reached a comprehensive and everlasting level.
