PPWSA Expands Clean Water Network to Suburbs

Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) is going to expand clean water network to the suburbs so that people living in the area have access to enough clean water.

PPWSA has already prepared water pipes for people living in the outskirts, especially the 20 new villages and Sangkat that have been separated from Kandal province and included into Phnom Penh capital city, said H.E. Sim Sitha, Director General of PPWSA.

PPWSA will study the possibility of producing more than 1 million cubic metres of clean water daily by 2030 for the clean water expansion project, he added.

PPWSA supplies a total of 560,000 cubic metres of clean water per day and each year, over 200 kilometres of clean water distribution network are expanded.
