Air travellers from Phnom Penh capital and Siem Reap cultural province entering Preah Sihanouk coastal province will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.
The move is aimed to ensure the effective control of COVID-19 transmission, underlined a directive of the provincial administration issued yesterday.
But, the same source pointed out, the quarantine requirement exclude transit passengers to their destinations in other countries; travellers for health emergencies or other essential reasons with prior permission from competent authorities; and medical teams, civil servants, fire fighters and armed forces on duty. Anyway, health safety rules must be applied.
Foreigners are required to pay for their 14-day quarantine, while the quarantine centres will be determined, organised and managed by the Preah Sihanouk provincial administration, stressed the directive.
