President of the Philippines Begins State Visit in Cambodia

President of the Republic of the Philippines H.E. Rodrigo Duterte and his entourage, including Filipino Senator and Professional Boxer Manny Pacquiao, arrived here this evening for their two-day state visit in Cambodia.

H.E. Rodrigo Duterte was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, and H.E. Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information as Minister-in-attendance.

Following his arrival, H.E. Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to meet with the Filipino community in Cambodia.

Tomorrow, the Filipino top leader will be received in a Royal Audience by His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and hold bilateral talks with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Two documents will be signed during the visit – the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Combating Transnational Crime, and the Memorandum of Agreement on Sports Cooperation between the two countries.
