Road Network Improvement Project of NRN 1 and NRN 6 To Cost US$ 70 Million

The Royal Government of Cambodia has received US$ 70 million of concessional loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) for road network improvement project (RNIP) for 54-month period, said news release of Ministry of Public Work and Transport (MPWT).

The signing ceremony took place here yesterday between Senior Minister and Minister of MPWT H.E. Sun Chanthol and representative of ADB.

The RNIP which covers 18-month renovation and 36-month maintenance for national road number 1 (Neak Loeurng-Bavet) and national road number 6 (Siem Reap city-Krolanh) will start from January 2019 to June 2023.

The RNIP also includes building four construction material laboratories in Kratie, Kampot, Siem Reap and Pursat provinces, for the ease of technical control of MPWT.

Three subcontractor companies are Zhejiang Dacheng Construction Group Co., Ltd., Sichuan Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Provincial Changda Highway Engineering Co., Ltd.
