RoK Appreciates Cambodia’s Arrest of Korean Criminals

South Korean counterpart has recently appreciated Cambodia for helping to arrest Korean inter-country drug dealers and criminals.

Lieutenant General Meas Virith, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD), shared the update when participating in an experience sharing workshop co-organized yesterday by NACD and Asia-Pacific Information Coordination Center for Combating Drug Crimes of the Republic of Korea.

According to Lieutenant General Meas Virith, Cambodian force has arrested four Korean criminals involving with drug trafficking and deported them to South Korea.

“Cambodia is not a hideout of criminals and is not the safe place for them as well,” underlined the secretary general.

The record of National Authority for Combating Drugs indicates that Cambodia cracked down on 3,061 drug trafficking cases and arrested 7,008 suspects in 2015.
