Rollout of Financial Management Information System at Government Institutions

Royal Government of Cambodia has kick-started the rollout of the country's financial management information system (FMIS) at ten line ministries and 25 capital-provincial departments of economy and finance and the extension of FMIS phase II project implementation to the remaining 17 line ministries for 2019.

The official launch of the FMIS took place recently here in Phnom Penh under the presidency of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth.

H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth underlined that for 2019, the system includes four of its six functions including budget allocation, expenditure management and acquisition, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

The reform, he added, started since 2014 and has been contributing significantly to promoting accountability and transparency in Cambodia's financial management.

He continued that the government is aiming to achieve complete financial management reform by 2025.
