Russian Investors Interested in Investment in Cambodia

Russian investors are interested in to buy Cambodia agro-products, affirmed Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia H.E. Dmitry Tsvetkov during a meeting here late last week with Cambodian Secretary of State for Commerce H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang.

They also planned to export construction steels into Cambodia's markets, added H.E. Ambassador.

H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang welcomed the above-said interest and requested H.E. Dmitry Tsvetkov to arrange business matching between private sector of the two countries, by encouraging the Russian side to consider buying more Cambodian agro-products such as rice, rubber and cashew nuts.

For his part, H.E. Dmitry Tsvetkov suggested Cambodia to establish a technical working group to review the list of 3,000 products which were granted Duty-Free-Quota-Free by Russia.

The meeting also touched on the prioritised project proposal of the Asia-Europe Cooperation and the arrangement for the Kingdom to attend the 21st Saint Petersburg's International Economic Forum in the Future.
