SEA Wrestling Championship 2022: Cambodia’s Medal Tally, 19

Cambodia has earned 19 medals – 3 gold, 3 silver and 13 bronze – at the Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship 2022 in Cambodia, higher than its expectation.
The Kingdom thus ranked third among the seven participating countries, while Vietnam topped the list followed by Indonesia.
Taking place in Phnom Penh from Dec. 16 to 18, the Southeast Asian Wrestling Championship 2022 attracted the participation of 115 wrestlers from Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The Wrestling Federation of Cambodia sent its 26 national wrestlers, 8 of them are female to join the tournament, expecting to win 10 medals.
The event intended to sharpen the capacity of Cambodian athletes for the SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia from May 5 to 19.
The federation is organising an international level-training for arbitrators, judges and coach of wrestling; and a training camp for Cambodian and foreign wrestlers from 7 countries from Dec. 7 to 19.
