Senior Minister and First Vice President of Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) H.E. Ly Thuch received here this morning H.E. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia.
In the meeting, both sides spoke highly of the close relationship and cooperation between the two countries in the past 65 years.
H.E. Anatoly Borovik showed Russia’s intention to assist Cambodia in mine clearance activities, and lauded the effective measures of the Royal Government of Cambodia in managing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that he and his colleagues can travel across the Kingdom without fear.
For his part, H.E. Ly Thuch briefed H.E. Ambassador on the achievements attained by Cambodia in the field of mine clearance.
H.E. Senior Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation for its assistance to human resource development in Cambodia.
Cambodia’s mine clearance sector has been supported by China, the U.S., Australia, England, Japan, Norway, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, South Korea, Ireland, UNDP, and UNICEF as well as many other organisations.
