Senior Official of Commerce Ministry Meets a Delegation of U.S. Investors

Cambodia’s Secretary of State for Commerce H.E. Ok Boung received here on Tuesday delegates of 14 American companies from the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council.

In the meeting, both sides discussed the two-way cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States of America, said the Ministry of Commerce in a news release.

According to the same source, the U.S. delegates informed H.E. Ok Boung about their support to the Cambodia-U.S. Bilateral Investment Treaty formulation, and their interests to help boosting the energy and infrastructure sector cooperation, including the Cambodia-Thailand overlapping zone.

In response, H.E. Ok Boung welcomed the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council’s initiatives and briefed them on Cambodia’s trade policy and deep administrative reforms carried out by the Ministry of Commerce, including the key automation systems, trade facilitation, and commerce-related laws to promote the country’s competitiveness.
