Siem Reap Hosts 33rd Technical Session of ICC-Angkor Committee

International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of Historic Site of Angkor (ICC-Angkor) has organised its 33rd Technical Session and 26th Plenary Session to follow up the implemented recommendations to further promote preservation for sustainable development.

The two-day meeting taking place recently in Siem Reap province was co-chaired by French and Japanese Representatives in charge of the works, under the presidency of H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of National APSARA Authority.

It reviewed the recommendations produced by ICC-Angkor expert groups, and reflected the committee’s work and research results in the conservation of Angkor Archaeological Park.

Many senior representatives from ICC-Angkor member countries, including Canada, and government officials from the Ministries of Royal Palace, Interior, Environment, Tourism, and Posts and Telecommunications, Council of Ministers, Siem Reap provincial hall and National APSARA Authority attended the meeting.
