South Korea Officially Opens New Embassy Office

The Republic of Korea officially opened its new office last Friday with honorable presence of Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn.

Situated in the emerging business area so-called Koh Pich (Diamond Island) at the heart of Phnom Penh capital, the new location of South Korea’s Embassy encompasses one square hectares of land.

Embassy’s statistic indicates that South Korea is the second top country in terms of garment manufacturing investment in Cambodia.

The country is also ranked the fifth among the countries assisting the development of Cambodia; and to date the total investments of South Korea to Cambodia are amounted to around US$4,400 million.

According to South Korean Ambassador H.E. Kim Weon Jin, the new embassy office costing around US$40 million will further promote the cooperation between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.
