Study: Cambodia’s Garment and Footwear Productivity Remains High

Worker’s productivity in garment and footwear sector in Cambodia remains high, according to a study by Cambodia Productivity Committee (CPC).

The finding was disseminated among representatives from relevant government bodies and private sector in a recent CPC meeting here in Phnom Penh chaired by Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth.

CPC conducted the study in the light of its ongoing commitment to boost the productivity of above-said sector.

As highlighted by Senior Adviser to the Supreme National Economic Council H.E. Mey Kalyan in the meeting, the finding indicated positive sign for Cambodia to sustain its economic growth.

It is, he added, also responsive to current market situation thus serves as stimulus that attracts more investments.

In his remarks, H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth encouraged that such study is done on a regular basis to keep track of the sector’s productivity.
