KUANTAN – Muhammad Muslim Marzuki, a 22-year-old coach of the Terengganu Sukma Games cyclists, tragically lost his life in an accident during a training session at Kilometre 52 of Jalan Kuantan-Maran. Kuantan district police chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu reported that the accident occurred at approximately 10 am when Muhammad Muslim, originally from Bandar Permaisuri, Terengganu, was escorting the team from Kuantan to Temerloh on a motorcycle.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Preliminary investigations suggest that Muhammad Muslim lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to swerve into the opposite lane and collide with a lorry near the Paya Bungor police beat. The 43-year-old lorry driver was involved in the collision. Authorities confirmed that Muhammad Muslim was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transferred to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for further investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
