Ms. Pheng Soeun, 67, a farmer in Ta Ong village, Ta Ong commune, Chamkar Leu district, Kampong Cham province is the 6 millionth person to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic.

She will receive 10 million Riel (US$2,500) and other donations from Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen like the other five persons.

On his official Facebook page on July 19, the Premier expressed his congratulations to Ms. Pheng Soeun for being the 6 millionth vaccinated person.

H.E. Dr. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, will directly hand over the cash prize and donations to Ms. Pheng Soeun, Samdech Techo Hun Sen added.

According to the Ad-hoc Commission, as of yesterday, Cambodia has vaccinated 6,061,305 people against the COVID-19 pandemic, or 60.61 percent of the planned 10 million people to be inoculated, of them, 4,155,791 have already got their second dose of COVID-19 vaccines.
