The 6th Sea Festival Concluded

AKP Phnom Penh, The 6th Sea Festival organised in Kep province from Dec. 22 to 24 under the theme Green Bay: The Future is now was concluded yesterday.

This event was presided over by Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and attracted some 500,000 foreign and local tourists.

The Sea Festival is celebrated annually in the four coastal provinces � Preah Sihanouk, Kep, Koh Kong and Kampot � on a rotation basis. This year ceremony was attracted the participants from 4 foreign countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

There were different events, including a parade attended by 1,000 artists from Cambodia and other participant nations, some sport competitions, trade fairs, art and music performances etc.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his deep thanks to the foreign nations who dispatched their respective artists and businessmen attended this year events.

H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism shared this successful hosting and encouraged all stakeholders to further promote the tourism sector in the costal provinces.

The tourism sector in Cambodia, especially along the bay will not success if we don’t adhere the 4ps (Public-Private-People-Partnerships), he added.
