The Royal Government To Cut Off 7 Days from Holiday List

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has announced to reduce the number of Cambodia's national public holidays by seven days, starting from next year.

This decision was made at the 18th Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) held this morning at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

The Premier said the number of public holidays in Cambodia is high, therefore it will be reduced by seven days from 2020 onward.

Currently, Cambodia has around 30 public holidays a year, thus ranking the Kingdom the second Southeast Asian country with the highest number of public holidays after Malaysia (50 days), and before Thailand (26 days).
