Three Cambodian Senior Officials Visit U.S.

Three Cambodian officials are in the United States this week as a part of an exchange programme sponsored by the U.S. Embassy to boost the ability of Cambodia to improve border security, according to the embassy.

Those senior officials include H.E. Ung Eang, Vice President of the Secretariat of National Counter-Terrorism Committee (SNCTC), Mr. Keam Chankosal, Deputy Director of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE), and Mr. Sroy Sopanha, Deputy Director of Consumer Protection and Fraud Repression Department with the Ministry of Commerce.

This is about cooperation and ways to make our borders and country safer, said H.E. Ung Eang.

While in the United States, they will meet officials from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, both in Washington, D.C., and at the Port of Buffalo in New York State.

The Cambodian officials will be joined by delegations from Vietnam and Thailand.
