Toyota Assembly Plant in Phnom Penh to be Launched Next Year

Toyota assembly plant at Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone will be inaugurated in 2024.

The information was shared by Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ueno Atsushi while paying a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), at the January 7 Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), invested by Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co. Ltd. with a total investment capital of US$36.7 million, the car assembly plant would generate 150 job opportunities for the locals.

Besides Toyota, Cambodia has Hyundai assembly plant in Koh Kong province, Ford assembly plant in Pursat province, and so on.
