Two ASEAN Leaders Arrive in Phnom Penh for WEF on ASEAN 2017

Two of the three ASEAN leaders arrived here today to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN taking place in Phnom Penh from May 10-12, 2017.

Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith arrived here this morning. He was warmly greeted upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Cambodian Minister of Mines and Energy H.E. Suy Sem.

H.E. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, and his entourage landed here this evening with warm welcome from Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Khieu Kanharith while H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is expected to arrive in Phnom Penh tomorrow morning.

They are the three leaders among over 90 public figures, representing the 10 ASEAN nations to attend this event.

The WEF on ASEAN 2017, organised under the theme Youth, Technology and Growth: Securing ASEAN’s Demographic and Digital Dividends is expected to attract more than 700 participants from 40 countries.
