Buddha body and head statues have been found at the complex of Prasat Top (Top temple) in a historical area of Siem Reap province.
The update was shared recently by the APSARA National Authority, adding that the artifacts were discovered when the area was excavated by a research team who seek to learn about the structures in front of the terrace in the west of Top temple.
According to an archaeologist, Mr. Sok Keosovannra, the body and head statues were found in separate places and they are different fragments.
The artifacts were, he added, made between the years of 1431 and 1863.
