U.S.-ASEAN Business Council Impressed with Cambodia’s Rapid Growth

U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) delegation was impressed with Cambodia’s economic performance and investment climate in the country, noted Senior Manager of USABC Ms. Sunita Kapoor when received by Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng recently at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh.

She spoke highly of rapid development in Cambodia since 1999 and the hard work of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in both addressing labour-related issues and capacitating domestic resources with market-oriented technical vocational skills.

H.E. Ith Samheng appreciated the interest of the senior manager as well as her USABC delegation in Cambodia and welcomed future cooperation with the USABC.

Cambodia-U.S. trade volume increased gradually between 2013 and 2016 from US$3,012 million to US$3,174 million.

Cambodia’s exports to the U.S. went up from US$2,771 million to US$2,812 million within the said period.
