U.S. Government Provides US$25 Million to Support Cambodia’s Agriculture Sector

The U.S. Government today announced to provide a new US$ 25 million project to promote food security and economic growth in Cambodia’s agriculture sector.

The announcement was made by visiting H.E. Antony J. Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State, during his visit in Cambodia to attend different ASEAN-related meetings.

“Feed the Future Cambodia Harvest III is a five-year project managed by USAIDCambodia. As the world faces increasing threats to food supplies, we need to substantially increase agricultural capacity and resilience around the world, and Harvest III is a symbol of our commitment to this goal,” said U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh in a press release.

During his stay in Cambodia, the U.S. secretary of state paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this afternoon and is scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn to discuss U.S. support for ASEAN and efforts to strengthen the bilateral relationship with Cambodia.
