U.S to Continue Maintaining Positive Relations with Cambodia

U.S. Secretary of State H.E. Antony Blinken affirmed that the U.S. will maintain the positive relations with Cambodia based one the existing cooperation, especially on export market and other development assistance.

The affirmation was shared by H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, following the courtesy meeting between the Cambodian Premier and H.E. Antony Blinken at the Peace Palace here this afternoon.

In the meeting, H.E. Antony Blinken expressed thanks to Cambodia for its support on a number of issues, including the docking of Westerdam cruise ship, POW-MIA mission in Cambodia and so on while Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the U.S on COVID-19 vaccines and assistance for the development of Cambodia.

Both sides also exchanged views on the Myanmar crisis, Russia-Ukraine War, the impact of sanctions against Russia and so on.
