US$1.5 Billion Cambodia-China Friendship City Agreement Signed

The agreement on the construction of Cambodia-China Friendship City was signed here yesterday evening under the witness of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

The agreement was inked by the representatives of Cambodia’s LYP Group and China Minsheng Investment Group (CMIG) at the Cambodia-China Business Forum and Financial Development Forum held here on Dec. 1 under the theme “Cambodia: The Kingdom of Opportunities Along the ‘One Belt, One Road'”.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his support to this project, hoping that in the future this will create an urban township in Phnom Penh.

In November, Oknha Seng Nhak, Director of LYP Group said this new city development project will cover an area of 550 hectares in Ly Yong Phat Satellite City, north of Phnom Penh capital city. It will include international school, expo hall, mall, and other services.
