US$10 Million Local Investment Put on Grain Storage Capacity

Local investor is putting in over US$10 million on grain warehouse and dryers to further promote Cambodia's storage capacity for exports, according to local media report.

As quoted in the source, the investor -Oknha Phou Puy, Director General of Cambodia Rice Bank Plc. - will situate the rice warehouse and dryers at Battambang province.

Oknha Phou Puy considers the effort a contribution to addressing the pending issue of rice storage in Cambodia.

Lack of storage capacity potentially brings down the price of the rice as the longer time it takes without proper preservation, the lower quality the grain becomes.
