US$56 Million Budgeted to Rehabilitate National Road 2

Cambodia has budgeted US$56 million for the rehabilitation of the country's main National Road 2, from Takhmao town of Kandal province to Tramkak district of Takeo province � the southern part.

According to Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol, financing of the road rehabilitation derived from the Royal Government of Cambodia's budget and the loan from the Republic of Korea.

The total length of the road to be rehabilitated is about 66 kilometres, which will take about one year to complete.
