Various Programmes To Be Organised to Mark 65th Anniversary of Cambodia-Japan Diplomatic Ties

Cambodia and Japan are going to hold a wide range of activities in Phnom Penh in early December this year to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The Japanese side, led by Mr. Fumiaki Takahashi, ex-Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, therefore sought cooperation from Phnom Penh Municipality during a meeting here late last week with Phnom Penh Municipal Governor H.E. Khoung Sreng.

The commemoration is aimed to strengthen the cultural relations between Cambodia and Japan, especially to raise cultural awareness among youths of both countries.

In reply, H.E. Khuong Sreng expressed his full support to the organisation of the event and affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Japanese side.

Organised by NHK, the planned celebration will include cartoons, fashion show and concert, etc.
