Vietnamese Foreign Minister To Visit Cambodia Next Week

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Pham Binh Minh is going to pay a three-day visit to Cambodia next week to attend two different meetings, at the invitation of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng and Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his stay in the Kingdom, H.E. Pham Binh Minh will take part in the 9th Meeting on "Cooperation and Development of the Cambodia-Viet Nam Border Provinces" and the 15th Meeting of the Cambodia-Viet Nam Join Commission (JC) on Economic, Cultural, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation, scheduled to take place from Mar. 13 to 15 in Phnom Penh.

The two meetings coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, providing opportunity to reflect past achievements and chart future roadmap in the joint endeavor to further enhance the existing bond of traditional friendship, good neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation, it underlined.

At the end of JC Meeting, both H.E. Prak Sokhonn and H.E. Pham Binh Minh will sign the Agreed Minutes of the 15th Meeting of the Cambodia-Viet Nam Join Commission, it added.

Besides the meetings, H.E. Pham Binh Minh will pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, concluded the press release.
