WTO’s Senior Official Impressed by Cambodia’s Strong Economic Growth in Past Two Decades

Executive Director of the Enhanced Integrated Framework of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) H.E. Ratnakar Adhikari expressed his impression with Cambodia's strong and sustainable economic growth of around 7 percent annually in the past two decades.

The WTO's senior official made the impression while meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in Geneva, Switzerland yesterday, on the sidelines of the Aid-for-Trade Global Review 2019, according to H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister.

H.E. Ratnakar Adhikari congratulated Cambodia's achievements, stressing that the annual economic growth of 7 percent is beyond the Sustainable Development Goals.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen took the opportunity to invite H.E. Ratnakar Adhikari to visit Cambodia and thanked the WTO for its support for the elaboration of Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy.

The Premier also highlighted commitments of the Royal Government of Cambodia to further develop the country.
