Youth Doctor Association Provides Health Care Services to Some 400 Needy Families

Some 400 deprived families in Preah Sihanouk province have recently received overall health care and treatment from Samdech Techo Volunteer Youth Doctor Association, according to local media report.

Led by H.E. Gen. Hun Manet, Deputy Chairman of Joint Staff of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Deputy Commander of Royal Cambodian Army, the charity services were carried out through a collaboration with a local non-profit organisation M'Lop Tapang.

Founded since 2003, M'Lop Tapang has been assisting street children and their families in Preah Sihanouk province.

To date, the organisation is supporting 7,000 street children and orphans and 400 families stricken by severe poverty.

The one-day's voluntary work by Samdech Techo Volunteer Youth Doctor Association covered basic health care and treatments including, but not limited to, optical and dental diseases and antenatal services.

Director of M'Lop Tapang organisation Mr. Iv Saosarin expressed his profound thanks to H.E. Gen. Hun Manet and the team for such valuable contribution.
