The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted green light to two new factory projects in Samrong Torng district of Kampong Speu province and Ang Snuol district of Kandal province.
Sen Wang Ying New Material Co., Ltd. will invest US$4.1 million for the production of shoe accessories while Gianni Vince Bags (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. will inject US$4.4 million for the productions of all kinds of bags and their accessories, pointed out the CDC in a news release.
The two newly-approved projects are expected to create almost 1,600 jobs for the locals, it added.
Such investment amid the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
