All patients tested with Delta variant are not allowed to be treated at home, but at designated COVID-19 treatment centres or hospitals depending on the patients’ real health situation.
The instruction was made in a letter signed on Aug. 9 by H.E. Prof. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Commission for Combating COVID-19 to the heads of all municipal and provincial health services and directors of all COVID-19 treatment centres and hospitals.
The new measure concerns both imported and locally transmitted cases of Delta variant, underlined the same source.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of Aug. 7, Cambodia detected a total of 385 cases of Delta variant on Cambodian migrant workers from Thailand, air passengers, health staff, and local people.
