Phnom Penh – Cambodia and Saudi Arabia are poised to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in information exchange and training. This development was shared during a meeting between Cambodian Information Minister H.E. Neth Pheaktra and Saudi Ambassador H.E. Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, The Minister of Information disclosed that the country began broadcasting news in Arabic through its national news agency in 2022, aiming to showcase Cambodia’s culture, traditions, and development to Arabic-speaking audiences. The Saudi Ambassador commended the initiative and the Cambodian government’s approach to religious harmony, suggesting it as an exemplary model for the ASEAN region and globally.
