Cambodia, S. Korea Boost Labour Collaboration

Cambodia and the Republic of Korea have discussed more collaboration on the implementation of the Labour Policy Advisory Project 2023-2025 and other related projects in the future.

The discussion took place between H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training and Mr. Kim Dae-Hwan, Secretary General of the Korea Labour and Employment Service (KLES) in Phnom Penh on June 26.

H.E. Heng Sour thanked KLES for the cooperation through the agreement on the Labour Policy Advisory Project signed in 2023 to promote training and capacity building of the ministry’s civil servants to increase the effectiveness of service provision to people.

Labour and vocational training, and social security have been playing a crucial role in supporting the national economy towards achieving Cambodia’s vision of becoming an upper middle-income economy by 2030 and a high-income nation by 2050, said the minister.

Mr. Kim Dae-Hwan thanked H.E. Heng Sour for the support to the project, and pledged to continue supporting the
ir cooperation to make it more fruitful, in accordance with the level of relations established by the two governments.
