Cambodia to Marks the 100th Birthday of Late King-Father

The Royal Government of Cambodia and other relevant institutions will organise some events to mark the 100th birthday of His Majesty the late King-Father, Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk (Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh) on Oct. 31, said Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
While presiding over a distribution ceremony of rice seeds to over 10,000 flood-affected families in Battambang province this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said he will accompany His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk to an event to be held at Chaktomuk Theatre.
Besides, in the morning, 100 monks will be invited to offer food and other necessities at the Royal Commemorative Statue of Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh in Phnom Penh.
These events will be jointly organised by Mudhita Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia and other relevant institutions.
His Majesty the late King-Father, Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk was born on Oct. 31, 1922 and passed away on Oct. 15, 2012 in Beijing, China from natural causes.
