Cambodian PM to Co-Host World Summit 2022 in S. Korea

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high delegation to pay a visit to the Republic of Korea from Feb. 10 to 13, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).
During his stay in South Korea, the Prime Minister will also co-host the World Summit 2022 under the theme “Toward Peace on the Korean Peninsula” with H.E. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Co-Founder of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), and H.E. Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, in Seoul.
The World Summit 2022 will bring together Keynote Speakers and participants from 157 nations to explore the prospects for peaceful reconciliation of the Korean Peninsula.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister will be accompanied by H.E. Suos Yara, Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Media and Information of the National Assembly, H.E. Mrs. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, and a number of senior government and National Assembly officials.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister will have a meeting with H.E. Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation, including political, economic, and socio-cultural cooperation, and exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also receive a courtesy call by H.E. Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations. Samdech Techo Prime Minister is expected to have meetings with Heads of State/Government of some countries as well as receive call from some political and business figures.

On Feb. 12, the Summit will officially present the 5th Sunhak Peace Prize Award to Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen for his steadfast leadership over many years as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, contributing to stability, economic development and peace in Cambodia and the Southeast Asian region at large.
