CDC Endorses Almost US$97 Million Investment Projects

Four new investment projects worth in total US$96.8 million have been approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), according to the council’s press release of issued yesterday.

The newly-approved projects are expected to generate some 2,000 jobs for the locals, said the same source.

Located in the provinces of Kratie, Preah Sihanouk, and Svay Rieng, the four investment projects will cover the production of solar panels, clothes, plywood, and steel pipe casting.

Such investment demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
