Kampong Speu provincial administration has called on Chinese entrepreneurs to study investment opportunities in various fields in the province, especially agriculture, industry, agro-industry, mine, and energy.

The request was made by H.E. Dr. Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of Kampong Speu province, while receiving in the provincial city on July 16 a visiting delegation of 50 Chinese entrepreneurs from Zhejiang province.

According to the governor, Kampong Speu province has currently more than 400 factories, employing over 160,000 workers, mostly in the garment, footwear and consumer goods industry.

About 90 percent of the factories are invested by Chinese investors, H.E. Dr. Cheam Chansophorn underlined.

Oknha Chim Kheang who represents the Chinese delegation, said that large companies in Zhejiang province are very interested in Cambodia, particularly Kampong Speu province thanks to its geography which facilitates transport as it has interconnected roads and is close to the international port.

At the same
time, he requested the Royal Government, mainly Kampong Speu provincial administration, to get ready with manpower and human resources.
