Another COVID-19-related death was registered by the Ministry of Health; bringing the death toll to 3,045, according to its press release made public this morning.
Moreover, 237 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, were reported, of which 207 were locally transmitted and 30 were imported.
Cambodia’s COVID-19 tally thus rose to 133,738, including 13,285 Omicron cases (12,119 Omicron community cases).
But at the same time, 305 more patients have successfully been cured; the total recovered cases stood at 128,300.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
