In 2023, Cambodia cultivated the dry season rice on 554,210 hectares, equal to 111.25 percent of the planned 498,170 hectares.

The figure was released recently in a report from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

Over 99 percent of the dry season rice was harvested using machineries, said the same source.

The report added that the harvest of rainy season rice was 2,835,557 hectares, yielding 9,342,464 tonnes of paddy rice, or almost 3.3 tonnes on average per hectare.
