Hibiscus Petroleum Sponsors Another Two Schools As Part Of Its CSR

PASIR PUTEH, Hibiscus Petroleum is expanding its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by adding two more schools to its sponsorship programme, providing students from low-income families with complete nutritional meals at school.

Hibiscus Petroleum, Tok Bali Supply Base warehouse manager, Ramlee Patta, stated that previously, the company had sponsored Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tok Bali and SK Dalam Rhu.

He said this year, the company is adding two more schools in Pasir Puteh, namely Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Cherang Ruku and SMK Sungai Petai, starting from the 2025 school session.

“160 students will benefit from breakfast packs, complementing the government’s initiative to ensure that the nutritional needs of underprivileged students are met,” he told reporters at the Pasir Puteh District Primary School Student Safety Campaign held at SMK Sungai Petai today.

The safety campaign involved 412 students from six primary schools, focusing on personal safety threats at home, school, and in p
ublic spaces.

Ramlee said such an approach is essential, as primary school students are a target group that requires guidance and early exposure to personal safety.

He emphasised that as a socially responsible company, Hibiscus Petroleum is committed to engaging with communities and targeting those in need through programmes designed to enhance the quality of life and socio-economic status of communities in the areas where the company operates.
