The Department of Information (JaPen) has come up with a special digital handbook on National Day and Malaysia Day for the public’s reference, at its website Merdeka360.my, said Kelantan JaPen director, Muhd Nor Aswadi Md Nor.
“From time to time JaPen has these digital campaigns to convert handbooks into PDF file formats, which the public can access at our website.
“The Merdeka360 website contains Facebook (FB), Instagram and TikTok to provide information on the National Month, related content on the celebrations as well as history,” he told reporters after the Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign in conjunction with National Day at Wisma Persekutuan, here today.
Muhd Nor Aswadi said JaPen has distributed Jalur Gemilang to all department representatives and media agencies to liven up the celebrations at every level of society in the state.
“We also placed the Jalur Gemilang on vehicles at Wisma Persekutuan and those which were passing by so that everyone can proudly fly the flags for our National Day, especially the people of Kelantan.
“We must pay due respect to the Jalur gemilang, so if it is faded, change it to a new one and also refrain from any action considered disrespectful towards the flag,” he said.
He added that the department level campaign and celebration, which started on July 24, included Kembara Merdeka to selected locations in Kelantan and MADANI Community events at villages, tourist destinations, beaches, markets, and schools in collaboration with the state Education Department.
As of yesterday (Aug 17), all schools, residences and business premises have started flying the Jalur Gemilang on JaPen’s recommendations, to instill the patriotic spirit in the state.
