JORDAN MINTAH TREATS ORPHANS TO RAYA SHOPPING

Religious differences are not a hindrance for Terengganu FC (TFC) player, Jordan Mintah, to extend his help to underprivileged children in getting ready for Aidilfitri.

In fact, the 28 year-old Christian is pleased to be able to help the children so that they can enjoy Aidilfitri like their more privileged friends.

According to Mintah, he and his friends had taken 10 orphans from Kampung Gong Kapas here to a shopping mall here to allow them choose the clothes they liked.

“This year I plan to bring some needy kids to buy new clothes for Hari Raya. I wish to bring joy and love to the underprivileged children.

“When you pray, there are times when you know that God will give you guidance to carry out a good deed. Therefore, if I receive any instructions that touch my heart, I must follow them,” he said when contacted via WhatsApp.

The Ghanaian striker said that despite being surrounded by people of other religions, he does not feel isolated because he has many Muslim friends.

In fact, he also observed Ramadan and celebrated Aidilfitri with his adoptive family in Kuala Terengganu.

According to Mintah, he also has several pairs of Baju Melayu given to him by his fans and friends.

“I always celebrate Hari Raya in Terengganu. This is my fourth year celebrating Hari Raya here,” he said.
