NATIONAL MONTH: 44 CIVIL SERVANTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN “JALINAN INTEGRASI” PROGRAMME IN MELAKA

A total of 44 civil servants from Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will participate in the Jalinan Integrasi Penjawat Aman 2023 programme in the Kampung Gadek Rukun Tetangga Area (KRT), Alor Gajah, from August 18 to 20.

Melaka National Unity and Integration Department (JPNIN) director Intan Suhana Yusuff said the programme was part of the various events lined up by the National Unity Ministry for the state in conjunction with the National Month celebration to instill a spirit of unity among the people.

“Participants were selected from those born in East Malaysia who have served in various public service departments for less than two years and now reside in the peninsula.

“They will be placed with adoptive families and involved in various activities aimed at increasing understanding of the local community’s customs and culture,” she told Bernama here.

Intan Suhana said among the activities that will be carried out throughout the three-day programme are traditional games and folk sports.

According to her, the Perpaduan Malaysia MADANI Convoy 2023 from Putrajaya involving 70 high-powered motorcycles will also conclude in Melaka on the last day of the programme.

Meanwhile, Intan Suhana said the Melaka JPNIN party would also hold the Fly the Jalur Gemilang Contest in Alor Gajah involving the KRT community in the district.

“There will also be programmes for Tabika Perpaduan and Taska Genius Perpaduan children in the last week of August.

“The programmes are held to instill a sense of patriotism and love for the country in these children, thus fostering unity in the community,” she said.
